Kevin McCarthy Says Biden's Bribery Allegations Are 'Rising to the Level of an Impeachment Inquiry'

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Republican-run committees should open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden after hearing allegations that Biden has expanded his influence and weaponized the government.

“This is rising to the level of an impeachment inquiry, which gives Congress the most powerful power to get the knowledge and information it needs,” McCarthy said Monday on Fox’s Sean Hannity show.

‘Because this president has used something we haven’t seen since Richard Nixon: use the weaponization of government to benefit his family and deny Congress oversight.’

Two committees — House Oversight and Ways and Means — have heard complaints about Hunter Biden’s business dealings and claims that Joe Biden was involved in his son’s scheme — which the White House has always denied.

On Monday night, McCarthy said there were enough allegations to warrant an impeachment inquiry.

Hunter Biden, 53, was spotted with his father on June 25

‘When Biden was running for office, he told the public that he never talked about business. He said his family never received dollars from China, which we prove is not true,’ said McCarthy.

‘We simply followed where the information led us.

The White House, in response to McCarthy, accused House Republicans of failing to focus on important issues.

White House Oversight and Investigations spokesman Ian Sams tweeted, ‘Instead of focusing on real issues Americans like reducing inflation or creating jobs, this is what the @HouseGOP wants to prioritize.

‘Their interest in going after @POTUS is seemingly bottomless, regardless of the truth.’

McCarthy’s comments come as the House Oversight Committee is in its final week of hearings before the summer break.

They also hope to hear from Devon Archer, a former business associate and friend of Hunter Biden, who will reportedly testify that Hunter called his then-vice-president father during regular meetings.

Archer, 48, was subpoenaed June 12 by the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating Hunter’s businesses and whether he and other members of the Biden family improperly traded on their connections.

Archer has canceled his scheduled deposition three times so far, the Washington Examiner reported, but still wants to speak to the committee. They go on summer vacation in August.

On Sunday, The New York Post reported that the Archer committee is expected to speak with Joe Hunter’s business associates, including Burisma, at least 24 times.

Both Archer and another business associate, Tony Bobulinski, said Joe Biden offered short wishes and platitudes to Hunter’s business partners rather than concrete deals.

But Archer’s testimony will further challenge the White House’s insistence that Joe Biden had no knowledge of or involvement in his wayward son’s business affairs.

“We’re very much looking forward to hearing from Devon Archer as he meets Joe Biden with Hunter Biden’s foreign business partners while he’s vice president on speakerphone,” said James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky who serves as the committee’s chairman.

Joe Biden, who was vice president from 2009-17, spoke to Hunter’s partners at Ukrainian energy company Burisma in December 2015.

Hunter and Archer were in Dubai, Archer is said to testify, and Burisma, including Hunter, told board members they could speak to his father on the phone.

Hunter connected his father with Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky and Vadim Pozharsky, a senior Burisma executive, and as they gathered around the phone, Hunter told Joe that Ukrainian businessmen ‘need our support’.

Archer is also expected to say that Joe Biden spoke only vaguely during the brief call to greet the two businessmen.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer confirmed they are awaiting Archer’s testimony. The date of his appearance is yet to be known

Incoming and the committee are interested in communications because, at the time, Joe Biden was serving as President Barack Obama’s ‘point person’ on Ukraine and US efforts to discourage corruption.

Burisma was being investigated for corruption, and in an email to Hunter and Archer in November 2015 — a month before the speakerphone call — Pozarski claimed they used their influence to ‘shut down’ the criminal investigation against Burisma, the New York Post reported.

Archer will also tell the committee, the paper said, about a dinner at a restaurant in the French capital where Hunter pulled out his phone and called his father to impress potential investors.

Archer would say that Hunter would introduce his father to people on speakerphone on one of the four calls.

At other times, he would talk to his father without being on speakerphone—leaving open the possibility that Joe didn’t know his son was doing business by cutting off his access.

Joe Biden is known to talk regularly with his son and his grandchildren: Hunter Biden told CBS News in 2021 that they talk every night.

A close associate of Archer told the New York Post that he is testifying about his time working with Hunter because he believes it is his ‘civic duty.’

Archer was sentenced to one year and one day in prison in February 2022 for defrauding a Native American tribal entity and various investment advisory clients of hundreds of millions of dollars in a $60 million bond issue.

Archer’s aide said he felt the fraud case was a way to silence him.

He has ‘nothing to hide, no revenge or anyone to protect other than his family, and he feels that he is unjustly handcuffed by the net. [fraud] As for staying silent,’ the source told the Post.

‘He can at least start telling the truth in a forum where he has immunity.’

The committee heard last week from two IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who both said Hunter Biden was given preferential treatment by the Justice Department.

Hunter agreed to a plea deal for lying on his tax returns.

He also agreed to a plea deal for lying on his gun permit application: He said he didn’t use drugs, while admitting to addiction.

During a committee hearing Wednesday, firebrand Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene raised eyebrows when she shared candid photos of Hunter Biden with prostitutes taken from her laptop.

A Georgia congresswoman warned parents that ‘prudence is advised’ after visiting homes before investigating IRS whistleblowers.

The shocking moment was revealed on a C-SPAN live stream as well as other cable network channels broadcasting the hearing, including Fox News.

‘Should we show it?’ at one point asked Democratic ranking member Jaime Raskin.

Green warned: ‘Before we begin, I should advise the committee and the parents watching at home to consider’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene held up a poster at an oversight hearing Wednesday that allegedly shows photos from her laptop of predator Biden with prostitutes.

A number of gruesome images have been recovered from Hunter Biden’s laptop showing him naked or shirtless, drugged and engaged in sexual activity allegedly with an escort.

Workers in the room during Wednesday’s hearing reacted with laughter and shock at images of Green displayed on poster boards of the nude First Son.

Images on Hunter’s laptop hard drive were printed on poster boards that Green held up during the hearing.

The photo shows Hunter having sex with prostitutes.

Green claimed he was ‘uncomfortable’ showing the graphic photos to Congress, but insisted that ‘the American people deserve to see them’.

‘Before we begin, I would advise the committee and parents watching at home to consider,’ said Green.

Hunter Biden displayed the Green images to ask about tax breaks for expenses related to escorts, prostitutes and sex clubs.

She also presented evidence that Hunter Biden paid for escort tickets to fly out of Los Angeles to meet her in Washington, DC in June 2018.

‘If he buys her plane tickets for sex and travels across state lines, do you believe that’s (a violation of the law)?’ Green questioned two IRS whistleblowers on Wednesday.

He added that the ‘West Coast assistant’ mentioned in Hunter Biden’s tax filings is likely the person who allegedly flew in from Los Angeles for prostitution.

‘That’s not what paralegals do,’ Greene said, drawing laughter from those in the room watching the hearing.
