Foul-faced hairdresser who launched racist abuse at his next-door neighbor during ugly row in village cul-de-sac faces jail

A foul-mouthed hairdresser faces jail today for launching a racist hate campaign against her next-door neighbors during an ugly brawl in their village cul-de-sac.

Katie Bradsell, 32, was arrested after calling Muhammad Ali a ‘fat smelling sweaty p**i’ and ‘ugly c**t’ as they returned to their respective homes at the same time after separate family trips.

Bradsell, said to be unpopular with all his neighbours, also called Mr Ali’s partner Georgina Riddell a ‘d****ed’ and ‘sl**’.

During a tirade outside their terraced property in Willow Hay, near Chester, Bradsell told Mr Ali: ‘You fat stinking p**i, look at you, you’re revolting me’.

The neighborhood brawl, which became known as the ‘War of Willow Hay’, even had a six-year-old boy who witnessed it ask his mother: ‘What’s the ap**i?’

Foul-faced hairdresser Katie Bradsell faces jail today for launching a racist hate campaign against her next-door neighbors during an ugly row in their village cul-de-sac.

Bradsell, 32, was arrested after calling Muhammad Ali a ‘fat stinking sweaty p***’ and ‘ugly c**t’ in jail.

During a tirade outside their terraced property in Willow Hay, Sogle, near Chester, Bradsell told Mr Ali: ‘You fat stinking p**i, look at you, you’re revolting me’

A neighbor later told the court: ‘It’s fair to say none of the residents are on good terms with Katie Bradsell.’

At Chester Magistrates’ Court, Bradsell was found guilty of racially aggravated harassment and warned he faces up to six months in jail when he is sentenced next month.

The court heard he moved into a row of terraces in the cul-de-sac – where houses cost up to £450,000 – in 2014, but fell out with Ms Rydal over unproven allegations of assault. Matters came to a head on September 20, 2022, when Mr Ali and Ms Riddell, who had been together for two years, returned home from a trip to a local leisure centre.

Mr Ali, said: ‘I pulled up outside our address and parked my car to go home but I saw Katie sorting her bins and she was looking at me. He was always sad and he was muttering some things, as he does regularly.

‘I’m looking and he looks at me and goes, “What are you looking at?” But I just blanked him and entered the house. I made another trip to the car to collect our baby – but Katie was still there, still looking at me.

‘I found the child, went back to the house and closed the door but he then lashed out. I opened the door and he was standing there with his phone recording.’

Mr. Ali said: ‘I said, what do you want? But he started going blind with “you fat p***k” and “you stinky c***” and I just slammed the door on him.

‘He kicked the door again but this time Georgina answered the door saying, “What do you want?”

‘I told Katie to “f*** off” and when I turned around, the kid was practically at my feet so I slammed the door again. I don’t let my child see things like that but I can hear Katie yelling from the other side of the door: “You’re getting too fat.”

Georgina opened the door again, and Katie blinked. I took off my sandals and waved her around saying “Shut the f*** up, go away.” But he started saying racist words like “you f**ing p**i”, “you fat smelly p**i”, “look at you, you revolt me”, and “f**ing c**ts”.’

Mr Ali added that he told her to move away from his family, adding that Bradsell was ‘fothing, he was drunk, he drank every day’.

Bradsell, who is thought to be unpopular with all his neighbours, called Mr Ali’s partner Georgina Riddell (pictured together) a ‘d****ead’ and ‘sl**’ as another resident tried to calm her down.

At Chester Magistrates’ Court, Bradsell was found guilty of racially aggravated harassment and warned he faces six months in prison when he is sentenced next month.

In a statement he added: ‘The language used towards me was disgusting and insulting and made me particularly angry and upset. I was targeted because of my skin color or caste. No one should feel this way. I was disappointed because it happened in front of my partner and baby son. The whole incident was very painful for me and my family.’

Hospital volunteer Mrs Riddell told the court: ‘I’d say I’m a good neighbor but I had a charge against me which was completely fabricated and made up and I sat in a cell for nine hours.

‘Twas the first time there was shouting – but that is often and has been for a long time. There was swearing and insults but unfortunately I had to get used to it. But when the kids start yelling the “P” word, it’s not right.’

He denied saying the p-word in court and added: ‘My son is clearly mixed race, Mohammed is clearly mixed race, and that’s not something you think people would say in this day and age anymore. It shows complete ignorance and lack of intelligence. There are children in every house on the street. It would not be right to say that.’

Another neighbour, Samantha Williamson, said: ‘I could hear “you fat p**i” and Mr Ali shouting “you fat sl**.” They were both quite verbal. I went straight to the front to get the kids.

‘I think if you’re recording somebody and going to their face, I think you’re confusing somebody. It happened to me before from Katie. All I know is that it’s a part.

‘Georgina was out, she was in a lot of pain. She had her baby with her and was visibly distressed and crying. He wasn’t very well.. I believe he was in hospital a few times.’

Matters came to a head on September 20, 2022, when Mr Ali and Ms Riddell, who had been together for two years, returned home from a trip to a local retirement centre.

Mr Ali said he told Bradsell to move away from his family, adding that he was ‘fothing, he was drunk, he drank every day’.

Mrs Williamson added: ‘It’s fair to say none of the residents get on well with Katie Bradsell because of our ongoing issues with anti-social behaviour.’

‘She was a “fat p**i” when he was a “f***ing little slag”. It was back and forth between the two of them. My six-year-old son heard this and asked me “What’s an ap*i?”

Bradsell, who denied wrongdoing, told the court: ‘I just got away with going to Aldi to do the family shopping – wasn’t drunk. I went to get a black bean bag out but Mr. Ali got out of the car and said, “There it is, that grass.” He spat at me which he does all the time.

‘I told him “shut up you ugly ***”. Then I went in.’

He admitted his relationship with Ms Williamson was ‘terrible’ and that he was ‘not on good terms’ with Ms Riddell, but denied using racial language.

Bradsell added: ‘Georgina hit me twice and was arrested for it. But the police said “If I were you, I wouldn’t press charges, because you are a neighbour”.

‘I’m stuck between two bullies. I now have a ring doorbell. They ganged up on me. They are trying to remove me from the house.’

But JP Frances Miller told him: ‘You have not been consistent with your evidence and you have tried to talk about other alleged offenses which are not before the court today.’
