A desperate search has been launched after a paddleboarder went missing in the waters off Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday.
The man, 43, went under the water while on board – and now emergency services are searching near Edgartown Great Pond to find him.
Witnesses and police say they saw the man go under the water, before submerging again at around 7.46pm yesterday, re-emerging briefly while struggling to stay afloat.
The U.S. Coast Guard, Edgartown Fire and the Dukes County Sheriff’s Department are part of the rescue operation — which resumed Monday morning.
