Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez have gone their separate ways after just two years of marriage.
The singer, 30, and the estate agent, 27, have been separated since January 2023 and are now heading for divorce, an insider told Newstimesuk.com earlier this week.
Ariana deleted their May 2021 wedding photo from her Instagram and has been seen ring-less in recent days after her reps confirmed the split.
Following in the footsteps of a whirlwind celebrity wedding they decided to split almost two years after their wedding day which sadly did not stand the test of time.
From Britney Spears and Jason Alexander’s 55-hour wedding to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ 72-day union, MailOnline takes a look at all the short-lived celebrity romances.

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander – 55 hours
Britney Spears and Jason Alexander were childhood friends and tied the knot in the early hours of January 3, 2004.
The couple were just 22 years old at the time and had an intimate ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
However, their wedding was annulled after just 55 hours, and their short-lived union has now become infamous.
Jason later complained that they were overruled by Britney’s mother Lynne and the star’s management.
After the cancellation, Britney said in an interview: ‘It was me being naive, rebellious.’
In June 2022, Alexander crashed Britney’s wedding to Sam Asgari just hours before the wedding – leading to his arrest and conviction for trespassing and battery.
After eleven months of marriage, Jason himself remarried to Rebecca Bell on March 27, 2023.

Nicolas Cage and Erica Koike – Four Days
Nicolas Cage and his fourth wife Erica Koike tied the knot in Las Vegas on March 23, 2019, after a year of dating.
However, problems arose with the union almost immediately and hours after the wedding, they were seen fighting outside the Bellagio Hotel.
Just four days later, Nicholas filed legal documents to annul his marriage to Erica, who also agreed it was a ‘mistake’.
Erica later opposed Nick’s hopes for an annulment of their marriage and filed for spousal support. TMZ claims that Nicholas was unable to get an annulment but was able to get a divorce.
Nicholas claimed that the union was based on fraud, as Erica did not disclose her criminal history and her relationship with another man.
However, Erica claims that her reputation has been damaged by Nicholas and that she has lost career opportunities, claiming that the marriage was based on deception.
Three months after their wedding and their separation, the former couple was officially granted a divorce on May 31, 2019, after Nicholas claimed he was ‘too drunk’ to marry.

Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas – about 40 days
Drew Barrymore first tied the knot in 1994 at the age of 19, but the marriage to bartender Jeremy Thomas lasted less than six weeks.
Their whirlwind romance began when she met Jeremy, then 31, at an LA bar they owned and they decided to marry after just six weeks of dating.
The couple married on March 20, 1994, but officially separated just six weeks later, and their divorce was finalized in 1995.
“Usually people live together first and then get married,” Drew told PEOPLE right after their wedding. ‘I guess we’re doing it the old-fashioned way. Kind of.’
Speaking to Rolling Stone in 1995 after their split, Drew said: ‘We were married for six weeks, and we were only together for two days. It was such a joke.’
Drew’s second marriage to her Charlie’s Angels co-star Tom Green in 2001 fell apart almost immediately, and the pair split five months later.
She then married art consultant Will Kopelman in 2012 but the pair decided to go their separate ways in 2016 after three years together. They share two daughters, Frankie and Olive.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries – 72 days
Kim Kardashian had a short-lived marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011 for 72 days.
They started dating in October 2010 and got engaged in May 2011 before tying the knot in a whirlwind romance a few months later.
Their wedding preparations before the big day in August 2011 were broadcast to millions of viewers on Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event.
However, Kim filed for divorce from Kris exactly 72 days later, citing irreconcilable differences.
The pair have both opened up about their whirlwind romance, with Kim telling how Kris asked for an annulment because she didn’t want the wedding ‘on her record’.
‘If I were mature, I’d want an annulment too,’ Kim said as she reflected on their brief marriage in June 2021.
She also told how she apologized to Kris for not breaking up too gracefully as she spoke to Andy Cohen at a Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion.
‘I just didn’t know how to cope,’ she said, adding that she tried calling him a few more months later.
Kim said she found out on her honeymoon in Italy that it wouldn’t work, admitting she thought she had made the ‘wrong decision’.
She told how she felt pressured to tie the knot because she ‘didn’t want to let everyone down’ and described the honeymoon as ‘sad’.
‘Not if you have cold feet,’ he added.
Meanwhile, Kris admitted in a March 2019 essay that it bothers him when people describe his marriage to Kim as ‘fake’.
He wrote: ‘There must be much about that world that is not entirely real. But our real relationship was 100% real.’

Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley – 107 days
Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley married in 2002 before splitting just four months later.
They first met at a party in 2000, when Lisa was engaged to musician John Osajka, but she broke off their romance and started dating a Hollywood actor.
Nicholas told how he was ‘struck by lightning’ when she met him at a party and their whirlwind relationship was marked by highs and then tumultuous fights, as well as rumors that Nicholas wanted to buy his father Elvis’ Graceland mansion.
They married in 2002, but filed for divorce after just 108 days, and Lisa described the relationship as a ‘wild ride’ in a 2003 interview with Rolling Stone.
She said: ‘You can’t throw a temper tantrum and then call me four days later and hope, you know, everything’s going to be okay again… So, that’s the way it was… We were basically two 12-year-olds in a sandbox.’
‘We’re both so dramatic and dynamic that when it was good, it was incredibly good, and when it was bad, it was a nightmare for everyone.’
Despite having a famously short marriage, it would take them nearly two years to finalize their divorce.
Nicholas paid tribute to his late ex-wife following her tragic death aged 54 in January, saying how he was ‘heartbroken’ by the news of her death.
He said, ‘This is devastating news. Lisa had the biggest smile of anyone I’ve ever met ‘She lit up every room, and broke my heart.’

Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra – five months
Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra started dating in 1998 and tied the knot in Las Vegas in November of that year.
After their whirlwind wedding, NBA star Dennis filed for an annulment just nine days later, claiming he was unwell during the ceremony.
However, the pair later dated briefly before officially divorcing in March 1999, about 130 days after their wedding ceremony.
Dennis opened up about his brief marriage to model Carmen in his autobiography I Should Be Dead By Now earlier this year, telling how their romance was ‘unreal’.
‘It was different with Carmen. It was nice to be with someone waiting for the right time, the right place, the right time,’ explained Rodman.
Detailing one particular date, she revealed: ‘We went for sushi, we came home, we laid in bed and we looked at each other and we talked, we talked, we talked.
‘He was there for four or five days, sleeping in my room, in my bed, and we never made love. It was unreal.’
Carmen also recalls the ups and downs of their relationship over the years, saying how he would disappear in the latter days, usually while she was partying.
‘Where’s Dennis?’ Electra recalled. ‘Other team members will be worried when he runs away and they can’t find him.
‘There were times when we’d all go to a few bars and then we’d all try to get Denise back to the hotel. He will just leave us and run away. There was nothing we could do.’
Kim tied the knot with Kanye West in 2014 before their split last year, while Kris has not been married since.

Jennifer Lopez and Chris Judd – Nine months
Jennifer Lopez and Chris Judd memorably met in late 2000 when she was recruited to dance in the music video for Love Don’t Cost a Thing.
Their whirlwind relationship took off quickly and the two got married on September 29, 2001.
However, their romance did not last long and they split in June 2002, just nine months after their wedding. The divorce became official the following year.
In 2019, actor Chris said how he had ‘moved so far’ from his relationship with Jennifer but wished her well.
In a video published by TooFab, Chris said of his ex-wife: ‘Man, I’m so far from her.’
‘I have, God, you know, I just wish him the best,’ he added.
In June 2019, Jennifer also said how her marriage to Chris ‘doesn’t count’, calling it quits because of how short it was in a YouTube video.
She also ditched her first husband, Ojani Noah, to whom she was equally married for just nine months in 1998.
She shared: ‘I’ve never been married in a church and I’ve been married three times, and once for nine months and once for 11 months, so I don’t really count them.’
Jennifer married Marc Anthony in 2014 and they were together for seven years before their split in 2011. She reunited with ex-fiancé Ben Affleck and the pair tied the knot last year.
Chris married Kelly A. in November 2009 in Laguna Beach, California. Married Wolff and had a daughter, Vivienne, in September 2013.
