An abandoned baby girl who was ‘left for wild animals to eat’ in a garbage bag was discovered by a stray dog ​​and taken to safety, according to reports.

The animal reportedly found the baby girl in a bean bag in the town hall of the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli on Wednesday.

The dog then began dragging the bag with the newborn inside, and a passerby heard a cry from it, reports The National.

The child was taken to the Islamic Hospital before being transferred to the Tripoli Government Hospital.

His condition is described as serious but stable, with people describing his survival as a ‘miracle’.

“Some say the dog is an unclean animal and of course that’s not true,” a commentator named Fareed said on Twitter.

‘Dogs have more humanity, kindness, cunning and intelligence.’
