Atlassian billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes and his wife Annie split weeks after buying their $24.5 million estate neighbor’s $14.25 million home.
Mike-Cannon Brooks split from wife Andrew and Nicola Forrest last week
Atlassian’s billionaire co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes has reportedly split from his wife.
According to the Australian Financial Review, sources close to the family have confirmed that he is separating from his wife Annie.
Mr Cannon-Brookes, who is worth about $19 billion, married Annie in 2010, according to the latest Financial Review Rich List.
The separation follows the high-profile split between Fortescue Metals executive chairman Andrew Forrest and Nicola Forrest.

The Australian Financial Review’s annual Rich List for 2023 revealed in May that Mount Cannon-Brookes and its Atlassian business partner, Scott Farquhar, had each lost more than $7 billion since 2022.
Mr Cannon-Brookes and Mr Farquhar lost 31.7 per cent and 31.2 per cent of their wealth respectively when the software company’s share price fell and jobs were lost.
Mr Forrest, also known by his nickname ‘Twiggy’, became Australia’s second richest person this year – behind rival mining magnate Gina Rinehart – with a fortune of $35.21 billion.
Also in May, Mr Cannon-Brookes defeated Mr Forrest in a battle for control of Sun Cable, a development that promises to transmit solar-generated electricity from the Northern Territory to Singapore.
Mr Cannon-Brookes and Mr Forrest were involved in a bidding process for the $30bn project when they fell out over the future of its direction and the company, also known as Sun Cable, went into voluntary administration.
Mr Cannon-Brookes bought a house (right) next door to his old property in Newport for $14.25 million.
The Cannon-Brookes family own a large property portfolio, including the 1.1 hectare Fairwater Estate, home of the late Lady Mary Fairfax, which they acquired in 2018 for $100 million.
In June, Cannon-Brookes and his wife shelled out $14.25 million to buy a house in Newport on Sydney’s northern beaches, next to a $24.5 million estate they bought in 2020.
The five-bedroom house is set on a 3,000-square-meter plot and has a 1,000-square-meter netted bathing area.
In March the couple also bought a $2.55 million home on Great Mackerel Beach, a property only accessible by boat.
The house, acquired in 2020 for $2.35 million, was located three doors down from another of their residences.
Ms Cannon-Brookes, formerly a fashion designer, was born in the United States.
It was previously reported that Mr and Mrs Cannon-Brookes met in a Qantas lounge while traveling between Sydney and San Francisco.
Mining magnates Andrew Forrest and Nicola Forrest announced their separation last week
Forrest, who have been married for 31 years, said last week they would now be separating, but insisted it would not affect the direction of their mining empire or philanthropic interests.
Mr and Mrs Forrest have three grown-up children – Grace, Sophia and son Sydney – and it is understood they have no plans to divorce.
In April last year, Ms Forrest said she and Mr Forrest would give away their fortune because they did not want their children to be ‘burdened’ by a handout.
‘Children don’t benefit from thinking they’re going to inherit a huge sum of money,’ he said.
In June this year, it was revealed that the former couple donated $5 billion worth of shares in his mining company to his charity, the Mindaru Foundation.
