Three-year-old girl left on Trundle school bus: Girl rescued after hours alone in car in NSW

A three-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after being stuck on a bus for four hours

A three-year-old girl is recovering from the ordeal she spent four hours sad and alone on a parked school bus in regional NSW.

A man spotted the little girl sitting in the front seat of an unattended bus parked on Forbes Street in the midwestern town of Trundle, just before midday on Wednesday.

Police said the man unlocked the bus before contacting the girl’s parents.

A three-year-old child is recovering in Parkes Hospital after being found on a bus

Paramedics treated the child before taking him to Parkes Hospital, where he was evaluated and later released.

A NSW Health spokeswoman confirmed the girl was healthy.

It is understood the girl was stranded alone on the bus for around four hours and was due to be dropped off at Trundle Children’s Center in the city center at around 8.30am.

The bus was parked in Trundle, on Forbes Street in NSW Central West just before midday on Wednesday.

The child was dropped off in a private school bus, the center said.

Officers from the Central West Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
