Taylor Swift urges fans to ‘make their voices heard’ after voting in Nashville as her Eras tour continues to stimulate local economy

Taylor Swift is changing in a major way.

The Lavender Hedge singer, 33, took to social media to urge her fans to vote and make their voices heard.

He posted a photo on his official Instagram wearing a gray hoodie and sunglasses and holding an ‘I Voted Today’ sticker.

The Speak Now hitmaker captioned the post: ‘Hi Nashville! Primary voting begins today for our city officials and some statewide seats.

‘We have the opportunity to choose who will represent us for the next four years. I voted today and I urge each of you to do the same and make your voice heard.’

He wrapped up his post with links to more information about early voting in areas around the country.

Swift has been vocal about politics in recent years after receiving criticism for not saying anything about who she supported in the 2016 presidential election.

And, voting isn’t the only thing the All to Well singer is doing to make positive change.

Her Eras tour was so successful that the Federal Reserve in Philadelphia released a report revealing the biggest nights of hotel revenue since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic when Swift rolled into town.

‘Despite the slow recovery in tourism to the region overall, one contact highlighted that May was the strongest month for hotel revenue in Philadelphia since the start of the pandemic, in large part due to the influx of guests for the Taylor Swift concert in the city. ,’ officials wrote in their beige book on Wednesday.

And it’s not fair that the City of Brotherly Love isn’t the only place seeing an economic boom thanks to the Swifties.

NBC News reported that when the Eras tour hit Cincinnati on June 30 and July 1, its fans brought in more than $2.6 million in hotels near the venue and more than $5.3 million in hotels around the city.

‘Taylor Swift is a force to be reckoned with,’ Julie Calvert, CEO of tourism company Visit Cincinnati, said in a statement at the time.

‘The economic impact Swift creates is staggering, as fans travel from far and wide to attend her concerts, filling hotels, restaurants and local attractions. Swift’s impact on tourism is a testament to her ability to captivate audiences and drive economic growth.’

Economic boom: Her Eras tour was so successful that the Federal Reserve in Philadelphia released a report that revealed the biggest nights of hotel revenue since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic when Swift rolled into town.

The same thing happened when the Midnights singer hit Chicago last month.

The city broke hotel occupancy records when the Eras tour took over Soldier Field the first weekend in June.

Billboard reported that more than 44,000 hotel rooms were booked for each night’s show, bringing the total hotel revenue to $39 million.

The visiting Eras will play in Denver on Saturday night before heading to Seattle, Santa Clara and Los Angeles.
