Danny Todorovic claims they were 'sexually assaulted' in a Melbourne alley

Non-binary activist Denny Todorovic claims he was sexually assaulted in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

Denny shared their harrowing ordeal in an interview with The Herald Sun on Sunday, explaining they were attacked in the early hours of Friday after a night out with friends on Smith Street.

The 36-year-old said they believed their drinks had been spiked during the night, and were assaulted in an alleyway on their way home.

Todorovic notified Victoria Police of the incident but said they had asked authorities not to investigate.

‘I told them not to (investigate) because what’s the point? It happened on the street in a place where I have no intention of going back and investigating,’ Todorovic told the publication.

‘They will never find these people. I just want to move on from this moment. This is not the first time this has happened to me, I am both a victim and a survivor.’

After the traumatic experience, Todorovic spent the day in Royal Melbourne Hospital before being discharged on Friday evening.

‘All I wanted to do was get out of the hospital, heal and grieve,’ Todorovic said, expressing her desire to continue her career and creative pursuits.

‘I want to go to RMIT, make some shoes, create some content, fulfill my dream of becoming, if Australia ever lets me, a queer Oprah Rowe meets Graham Norton.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Victoria Police for comment.

Despite the unfortunate incident, Todorovic remains steadfast in her mission to raise awareness of violence and harassment by transgender people and other minority groups in Melbourne.

Todorovic has been open about her mental health struggles in the past and sought professional help after some public trouble at Australian Fashion Week in May.

It comes after weeks of wacky behavior at Australia Fashion Week in the aftermath.

Prominent queer fashionistas made a ‘political’ fashion statement which saw them flash their genitalia to Newscorp reporters – much to the chagrin of Confidential’s Jonathan Moran and Page 13’s Alice Koster.

‘It was a sad situation to be honest, it was sad because they’re clearly not good and the system, I think they’ve failed and they need to be helped,’ Moran told 2GB host Ben Fordham.

‘They were wearing one of those man-kini type things under their pants, so you could see a lot – there wasn’t much left to the imagination’

Just one day after the flashing scandal, Todorovic had their fashion week plans scuppered after being shut down by security at Nadia Bartel’s hen show at St. Barnabas at Ultimo.

According to fashion sources, Australian Fashion Week organizers are furious after Todorovic’s antics made more headlines this week than the designers on display.

Todorovic was pictured speaking to police after the row at Sydney Airport

He had an hour-long heated run-in with airport staff in Melbourne before boarding a Jetstar flight to Sydney before the event began.

Todorovic said she was subjected to ‘homophobic and racist’ behavior by staff after requesting $100 for extra baggage and later wrote, ‘Jetstar, my d***’, on both upper thighs with a black marker pen. He turned to AAFW.

A Jetstar representative denied that staff had done anything wrong.

Photographs of the incident show Todorovic with their mother, along with four police officers.

Model rested her head on their mother’s hand in annoyance. No charges were laid.

Todorovic first made headlines when she took on a starring role as an ambassador for swimwear brand Seafolly – leading to a customer boycott in March.
