The Portland adidas headquarters has set up a giant Lionel Messi display as America finally gets ready to welcome the soccer star with an unveiling in Miami on Sunday.

With Lionel Messi set to be unveiled by Inter Miami in Florida this Sunday and Adidas building hype at its US headquarters in Portland, OregonDailyMail.com provides all the latest international sports news.

Adidas’ US headquarters is set to unveil Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, with a photo of the building showing it decorated with a giant display of the Argentine superstar.

A photo shared by Front Office Sports on the Portland, Oregon site shows Messi in a Miami jersey in front of a pink gradient background.

Ahead of Messi’s official unveiling at the DRV PNK Stadium this Sunday, Inter Miami finally confirmed his signing on Saturday, who released a 40-second clip (in Spanish) of ‘Yes, friends’.

Nevertheless, there was no doubt or concern about the move this week as she landed in Miami and was even spotted grocery shopping at Publix with her family.

Apple TV is banking on Lionel Messi to draw soccer fans to the company’s streaming service

Adidas’ display in Portland follows a billboard put up by Apple in South Florida.

To support Inter Miami’s color scheme and Messi’s ‘greatest of all time’ status, Apple’s billboard features a pink goat alongside the message: ‘Now on [Apple logo] television.’

Apple struck a ten-year, $2.5 billion streaming deal with MLS this year, and the tech giant is expected to supplement a large portion of Messi’s salary with Miami.

The World Cup winner will earn a reported annual salary of between $50 million and $60 million in MLS.

There is also enthusiasm for Messi thousands of miles from his new Florida home, as earlier this month the flagship Adidas store in New York City’s Soho district was seen decorated with Messi mock-ups.

The store featured him both outside and inside the store, including ‘Nothing’s Impossible’ and ‘Bienvenido (Welcome) to Miami’.

Adidas is also believed to be giving Messi a cut of merchandise sales, with Inter Miami willing to give him an ownership stake when the 36-year-old eventually retires, according to multiple reports.

Messi is expected to be unveiled with former Barca teammate Sergio Busquets joining him in Miami.

Jordi Alba is also expected to join the club.

Messi’s much-anticipated debut for Miami will be on July 21 against Cruz Azul in the League Cup.

He won’t play in MLS until August 20, though, against Charlotte FC.
