A ‘kind’ mother-of-three died alone in a Turkish hospital after undergoing £2,000 gastric sleeve surgery.
Leanne Leary, 38, suffered two heart attacks and died on July 1 in Istanbul after gastric sleeve surgery.
If successful, the procedure would have seen Ms Leary remove 80 per cent of her stomach.
The mother-of-three, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, is said to be excited about the procedure and sent a picture of herself in a hospital gown to her family WhatsApp group.
However, after hours without contact after the operation, Ms Leary’s family were told by hospital staff that the 38-year-old had suffered a heart attack but was in a stable condition.

The MEN reports that Ms Leary’s family are seeking answers as to how her condition deteriorated so quickly and her body has been flown back to the UK where an autopsy is expected to take place.
Steven Leary, Mrs Leary’s ex-husband and father of her two children, said: ‘Lenny was very bubbly and the life and soul of the party. He was very kind and generous and always willing to help other people even when he might be in need himself.
‘My son is very angry. It was very unexpected and you don’t expect when you pay thousands of pounds for a medical procedure that this is going to happen. His daughters are upset.’
She also revealed that Ms Leary had struggled with her weight for several years after struggling to lose the baby weight following the birth of two children, Kyle, 15, and Caitlin, 14.
Rochdale Coroner’s Court confirmed that a file relating to Mrs Leary’s death had been given to the coroner, and that an inquest would be listed in due course.
Mr Leary also added that Ms Leary’s body was brought back to the UK because her family did not want a post-mortem in Turkey.
A GoFundMe page was launched by a friend of Ms Leary’s following her tragic death with her three children now in the care of Mr Leary and his partner.
