15-year-old girl stabbed near primary school as police accuse 23-year-old man of attempted murder
A 15-year-old was stabbed near a primary school in Middlesbrough on June 22
A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly attacking a teenage girl near an elementary school.
The 15-year-old was stabbed in the incident, which happened near Corpus Christi Primary School on Premier Road, Middlesbrough, at around 3pm on Thursday 22 June.
He was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition.
Police say the victim and suspect are known to each other and are not looking for anyone else.
A spokesman for the force said: ‘Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information or was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police, is asked to get in touch.
