McDonald’s has added the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry to its summer menu in the UK – and hints at another big new arrival.

Lotus Biscoff McFlurries will be available in UK McDonald’s stores as part of the summer menu from today.
But diners after dessert will have to be quick, as the new item is only available for six weeks or while stocks last.
The move was announced in response to calls from customers: ‘You wanted this. We deliver.’
The dessert has previously been available overseas, but this is the first time British customers will be able to try it.
Thomas O’Neill, head of marketing for McDonald’s UK and Ireland, said he was ‘delighted’ to bring Lotus Biscoff McFlurry to the UK.
From today, Lotus Biscoff McFlurries are available in the UK, starting at £1.49 for a mini, regularly £1.99
For pleasure, a regular will set you back £1.99, or £1.49.
Thomas O’Neill, McDonald’s UK and Ireland head of marketing, said he was ‘very pleased’ to bring Lotus Biscoff McFlurry to the UK and Ireland, and that it had been a ‘long-held hope’ for some.
After the news broke on Twitter, users were quick to share their joy.
‘Biscoff McFlurry coming to the UK? I’ll be there no matter what,’ said one.
Another added: ‘Finally, something to look forward to this summer!’
And another ice cream enthusiast said: ‘Lotus Biscoff is my absolute favourite, I’ve been dreaming of it.’
As the new item hit the menu, McDonald’s UK tweeted another teaser hinting at another addition to the summer menu.
People are pretty confident they can figure out what the item will be, after a tweet listed the item with the missing letter.

A double chocolate pie seemed to fit the bill, and the announcement was even more delightful.
One user asked: ‘Double chocolate pie… no way! When can we get it?’
Another said: ‘I really need to try this.’
One user had a more left-field solution to the puzzle, suggesting that the ‘double chocolate pig’ would consist of sausage and bacon inside a chocolate muffin, dusted in more chocolate.
Time will tell who guessed right.
