This evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium hosted a state dinner for the visiting royal couple.

The gala dinner was held at the Belgian royal family’s official residence, the castle of Laeken, on the first night of a three-day state visit to Brussels by Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander.

Looking effortlessly elegant, Queen Maxima wore a dusty pink gown, which featured a beaded bodice and a full, ruffled skirt.

Brushing her hair, the Dutch queen wore a Stuart tiara for that momentous occasion in 1897.

Queen Máxima previously wore the elaborate tiara for a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in October 2018.

An embellished diamond necklace and matching diamond drop earrings gave Queen Maxima the finishing touch.

Meanwhile, her host, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, looked equally elegant in an ornate pale blue strapless gown.
