Former President Donald Trump has said he does not want his children to serve in his administration again, if he wins a second term in the White House.
During an unusually tough interview on Fox News with host Brett Baier Monday night, Trump acknowledged that the loss to his family had been great.
‘I said, enough for the family. you know why It is very painful for the family. My family has been through hell,’ he said.
‘I mean, they have – Eric, my son, who is a very good boy. You know him very well. He is a good young man, good student, good everything, comes. We are doing nicely. Then I decided to run for president. I mean, I don’t think anybody in the history of the world has sent him more subpoenas than that,’ Trump fumed.
‘No one could have gone through what my family has endured. Ivanka had a really successful line of clothing, I mean, making a fortune. When I did it, he was really – he just shut it down. He kind of felt like he had to, but he put it off,’ Trump said.

During her presidency, Ivanka held senior adviser positions alongside her husband, Jared Kushner, which drew criticism for their involvement in government given their relative inexperience at the time of their appointment.
While some members of Trump’s family attended recent campaign events for a possible second term, others were notably absent.

‘I love my father very much. At this time, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the personal life we are building as a family. I don’t plan to get involved in politics,” the former first daughter said in a statement posted on Instagram.

During Monday night’s interview, Baer brought up a statement Trump made in 2016 in which he said he would surround himself with ‘the best and most serious people.’
Baer then released a list of several former administration officials who are now fighting or criticizing Trump, including Bill Barr who refused to recuse himself from his election fraud claims as attorney general.
Trump has defended his hiring process by pointing out how for every official who spoke out against him, ten supported him.
‘Why did you hire them all in the first place?’ Bear asked.
‘Cause I hired one out of 10 which was great, Trump said. ‘For every one of you, I have 10 people who love us,’ he insisted.
Trump also reiterated his belief in the right to keep the documents at Mar-a-Lago, explaining how he did not hand them over because he wanted to retrieve his personal belongings from the boxes in which they were stored.
Trump gave the first interview since appearing in federal court in Miami last week, where he pleaded not guilty to federal criminal charges related to classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach. , Florida.
The 37 indictments brought by the federal government were formally presented after an FBI search of Trump’s Florida mansion last August.
The Justice Department accused Trump of violating the Espionage Act and other laws when he removed classified documents after leaving office and failed to turn them over to the National Archives.
