Model Charlie Austin breaks up with Scott Robertson and starts dating Pota Okeroa

EXCLUSIVE: Australia’s Next Top Model star announces her split from restaurateur husband in dramatic fashion – as she cuts ties with controversial Sydney nightclub boss

Australian model Charlie Austin has confirmed her split from restaurant owner husband Scott Robertson by going public with another hospitality bigwig.

Austin, 30, has been sharing lovey-dovey Instagram posts with nightclub boss Poata Okeroa for the past few months, while remaining tight-lipped about her previous divorce.

There is no suggestion of overlap between the two relationships.

Okeroa is the business partner of entrepreneurs Julian Tobias and Eric Jury, owners of late-night hotspot Susudio in Potts Point and Flamingo Lounge in King’s Cross.

He made headlines last year for banning diners with visible tattoos, ‘designer-label clothing’ and ‘heavy jewellery’ from his Middle Eastern restaurant and nightclub Bedouin in Double Bay.

The controversial dress code was introduced ‘to discourage intimidating appearances’, he said at the time.

Austin, 30, has been sharing lovey-dovey posts on Instagram with nightclub boss Poata Okeroya (pictured together) since November last year, despite saying nothing about his previous divorce.

The pair have been romantically linked since November last year, celebrating several milestones together including New Year’s Day, Charlie’s recent 30th birthday, as well as a romantic trip to the exclusive Osborne House Hotel.

Despite flaunting her new romance all over Instagram, little is known about Austin’s split from Robertson – who owns Glass Island, a floating restaurant in Sydney Harbour.

The former reality star, who appeared on cycle seven of Australia’s Next Top Model in 2011, has quietly reverted to her maiden name on Instagram, having previously gone by Charlie Robertson.

The pair tied the knot in 2019 at Deux Bellettes, a French-themed wedding venue in the Byron Bay hinterland.

She posted a tribute to her husband on their one-year anniversary.

365 days as Mrs. Robertson! I dream of marrying you. You are the kindest, sweetest person I know with the most beautiful soul,’ she wrote.

‘I am grateful for you and the way you love me. Happy anniversary, baby. I will carry your heart forever.’

Before tying the knot, Austin was spotted aboard Leonardo DiCaprio’s super yacht in 2015, which was docked in the Mediterranean during the Cannes Film Festival.

She had a small role in the actor’s hit movie The Great Gatsby, and is believed to have been one of the models she parted with during filming in Australia in 2012.

Austin has done campaigns for brands including Running Bear, Brass N Things, Moontide Swimwear and Homebody.

A spokeswoman for Austin declined to comment on her divorce.
