Qantas flight diverted and crew taken to hospital after ‘unusual smell’ detected on board
A Qantas flight was forced to turn back and crew members were taken to hospital after an ‘unusual smell’ was detected on board.
Flight QF1798 from Brisbane to Rockhampton was forced to return to the Queensland capital on Sunday night after cabin crew noticed the strange sight in the aircraft’s galley.
Five cabin crew members were assessed by paramedics after arriving in Brisbane after suffering from smoke inhalation on board.
‘Both have been taken to hospital for further medical examination. They were released last night,’ a Qantas spokesman said.
