This is the horrifying moment a St. Louis light rail system security guard repeatedly punched a man in the head as he lay on a busy platform.

Friday’s shocking video shows a guard in a black and yellow uniform standing with one foot on either side of the face-down man.

The guard bent down and hit the man several times on the head. One can be heard saying in the background: ‘He’s not hurting you right now.’

Another shouted: ‘Stop, stop man!’ Meanwhile the officer shouts: ‘I wanted your back.’

Both the officer and the man on the ground are black.

In a second video, the guard can be heard yelling at onlookers that the man on the ground ‘put his hand on a woman.’

‘That’s your mother, your sister, something!’ She continued.

The guard then removed a female guard who approached the situation, as the man on the ground was tended to by another guard.

The man’s head lay in a pool of liquid, some of which contained blood.

Paramedics were called to the scene, but the man’s condition was not immediately known.

Witnesses told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the incident began around 7 p.m. when two people on the train began vomiting.

Security guards boarded the train as it pulled into a Metrolink station just north of Forest Park.

But then, a man suddenly jumps up, starts screaming, runs off the train and crashes head first into the side of another Metrolink train.

The man fell and a witness said he got up and tried to put his arms around a female security guard, completing the task of covering her. The guard tried to push him away, while other guards started trying to catch the man.
