Mike Tyson claims Jamie Foxx 'suffered a stroke'

According to Mike Tyson, Jamie Foxx reportedly suffered a stroke before claims he suffered a mysterious health scare last month.

The actor, 55, has been treated at a facility in Chicago, which specializes in treating adults with ‘severely complex conditions’, including stroke recovery.

During an appearance on the Valutainment podcast, former boxer Mike said of Jamie: ‘He’s not feeling well. They say a stroke. I don’t know what happened to him.’

The actor’s health scare is for fans and those who knew him, including host Patrick Bate-David, who revealed in his discussion with Tyson that he had dinner with the star a few months ago.

‘We were in a restaurant in LA… he showed up, looking really good,’ she said. ‘And then suddenly you hear the story.’

Boxer replied: ‘Hey listen, we can’t predict our next breath, we don’t know when we’re going to die.’

Claim: According to Mike Tyson, Jamie Foxx has reportedly suffered a stroke after claiming he suffered a mysterious health scare last month.

Jamie, born Eric Bishop, was filming the action-comedy Back in Action with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta, Georgia, in April when he was hospitalized.

According to reports, Jamie’s health scare has thrown filming into disarray and Cameron, 51, has been filming with a body double in her absence.

His role in the film, which has already faced several delays and mishaps, has been plunged into uncertainty, with Bate-David questioning: ‘Is he still doing the movie or not?’

Tyson then revealed that there was a ‘possibility’ that Fox could cast him in a biopic, adding: ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen now.’

‘Jamie’s around my age, and what they were going to do with what they did with Benjamin Button, they were going to make him young (for the film),’ he continued.

As the discussion turned to questions about Fox’s status, Tyson concluded: ‘If we don’t know now, they don’t want us to know.’

Visiting: Corinne was pictured arriving at the facility, which is regarded as the country’s top rehab centre, treating ‘the most serious, complex conditions’

Speaking out: Former boxer Mike Tyson said of Jamie: ‘He’s not feeling well. They say a stroke. I don’t know what happened to him.’

Jamie’s daughter Corinne was among several loved ones to visit the actor at the physical rehabilitation center over the weekend.

Corinne was pictured arriving at the facility, touted as the country’s top rehabilitation centre, in ‘the most serious, critical condition’.

It specializes in treating serious conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.

Her good friend Dave Brown was also seen visiting the facility and spent time chatting to Corinne before heading off to see the star.

On May 12, Corinne spoke out to share an update on his condition, stressing that her father had been ‘out of the hospital for weeks’.

Corinne confirmed in a statement via Instagram that her father is currently receiving ‘great care’ and is ‘already on the road to recovery.’

Jamie is understood to have arrived at the facility in late April and is ‘getting better’ after first receiving treatment at an Atlanta hospital.

Shortly after Jamie’s ‘stroke’, sources claimed to Page Six that he suffered from high blood pressure and was ‘lucky to be alive’.

In an Instagram post on May 3, her family posted on her profile: ‘Appreciate all the love!!! Hand, heart and fox emoji pray ‘feeling blessed’

It’s unclear if Jamie made the post himself. At that point, no further details about his condition were shared, leading to speculation about the severity of his illness.

The Oscar winner’s account also gave a shout out on Instagram to friend Nick Cannon who has done hosting duties for her on the popular game show Bit Shazam.

Grave: Fans were initially alerted to the health scare when her daughter Corinne shared a serious statement on social media on April 12.

At the time of the alleged stroke, Jamie was filming Back in Action, which is financed by Netflix and is Cameron’s comeback film after his retirement from film.

The project faced several problems, including Jamie firing several crew members, while the film faced delays.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been a disaster, and Cameron must be wondering what he was thinking coming back.

‘But the truth is Jamie’s health problems now look quite serious and those delays may seem minor in comparison. Of course it’s very sad and everyone wishes him well.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Jamie, Mike and Netflix for comment.

Cameron was spotted filming the movie with two different body doubles for her co-star Jamie while in hospital last month.

A week after the Oscar winner suffered ‘medical complications’ on April 11, the Charlie’s Angels star was spotted shooting scenes for their film, which is slated for an early 2024 release.

The moment was Jamie’s first day back on set since being hospitalized following his medical emergency.

His latest film shoot in Atlanta seems to be a surprisingly stressful ordeal for the Baby Driver actor as well as his co-stars.

It was reported in March that Jamie ‘had an absolute disaster’ while shooting the film in the UK, resulting in multiple people being shot.

He reportedly booted an executive producer from the project along with two directors and even his own driver.

According to The Sun, an employee was fired in connection with an apparent scam to access £33,000 in cash from the actor, which was said to be related to the sale of a Rolex watch.

There was even more drama when it was revealed that after an unexploded WWII-era bomb was discovered on the film’s London set, production was suspended just before the filming of two major action scenes.
